Pixkite was an elegant way for visual artists (such as photographers, painters, illustrators, graphic designers, etc.) to have a socially-integrated profile to showcase, share, and sell their artwork. The product lauched in alpha and was used by several users until it was shut down due to lack of demand.
Steve Hanna, co-founder and CEO, built the user interface to manage photos and display them in a gallery as part of the user profile. Steve was also responsible for social media integration, business development, marketing, and sales.
Patrick Reilly, co-founder and CTO, was responsible for designing and programming the backend system for storage and data processing as well as integrating with third-party services. Patrick was also tasked with setting up and administering the server.
